Something worth considering is how much money OUAT possibly makes for the network via other avenues. Look at all of the merchandise the show currently has, for example. No other ABC show really has merchandise behind it, aside from maybe DVDs. I’m not sure if it’s enough to help save the show, but I don’t think it’s irrelevant.
I also don’t think it’s irrelevant to point out that Disney has some stakes here, some skin in the game, if you will.
