I don’t think this promo somehow proves it is not Hook. The promo doesn’t even talk about Charming’s father. It is making it seem like it has something to do with Snow waking up when we know that is not the case. I think that it is possible that Hook killed Charming’s father because George hired him and for them to still have Charming approve of the proposal. Stuff like that happens all the time on this show. Regina almost killed Henry with the apple turnover, sort of did kill him, and yet she was still being asked to baby sit and was invited to dinners.
It is possible that Charming is somehow being spelled or something weirdly magical is going on because this show does random things all the time that make no sense. Those things happening though don’t make any sense at all and they should not be what happen, in my opinion. The only thing that would actually make sense was that Hook killed Charming’s father because George hired him.
The location being the same, i don’t think proves anything either. It is just as likely that they are castsome sort of locator spell. Charming goes off to find George alone after locking Hook to that car. Charming threatens George. Hook comes in. George sees Hook. George tells Charming about Hook’s involvement. Charming threatens Hook. Charming has a conversation with his non corporeal ghost father later. Charming gets some sort of insane forgiveness is good talk from his father. He forgives Hook. Hook talks about wanting to marry Emma; we can hope he doesn’t actually ask. They have some sort of weird heartfelt moment that should not exist, but this is Ouat. Charming gives his permission.
It could go some other way because Ouat is the worst written show i have ever watched, but that all fits and is the Black Fairy even in this episode? The promo which is clearly trying to confuse the general audience doesn’t prove anything.
