Instead of going down this depressing route, why not just end it on a happy note and have Emma and Hook leave together on the JR on their honeymoon going on adventures off screen.
That would be very cruel to marry them in 20 and then have them be split up permanently. And there’s no happy ending for either character.
I don’t think that is what they’ll do.
This also doesn’t explain if multiple people are leaving how storyline wise they can explain it.
That’s why I’m suggesting a curse takes everyone leaving to the enchanted forest.
