According to Futon Critic, we’re getting a pre-finale special at 7pm called “The Final Battle Begins”: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/once-upon-a-time/listings/ Interesting that we’ve never had a special for a finale before. Typically just the premieres. I guess it means 2 things: 1) They’re going to end the series after all. 2) They wanted a special because it’s still the end of the current narrative and we’re losing notable cast members, regardless of a renewal.
#2 is probably the case but I imagine the cast they’re losing will come back for a couple of episodes including the series finale next season.
