Rotten Tomatoes pretty much places the movie and the series at opposite ends of the spectrum, but I’m still scared to give the series a try. The movie went so far overboard with Woobieness that it became more like a self-parody than serious, thoughtful drama.
I’ve seen both; I’d say the TV series is waaaaaay better than the movie.
