I am still holding out hope, because 1. his fate was severed so now that prophesy does not stand 2. I still think this would be too big for OUAT to leak out. 3. I can’t imagine that OUAT would crap again on Rumbelle fans because wow have we been put through the ringer. I actually think that this episode just emphasizes the importance of Rumple choosing family over power. He needs to stop the viscous dark circle that his family is in and he does that by making a sacrifice of power over love.
But I think this is going to be a moment of Rumple choosing his destiny (= choosing to die) for his family which will keep with his promise to protect Belle and Gideon and save Emma from having to do the Savior thing AND end the cycle of choosing power over family.
