Yes, they were magical forces but they both were not indicative of True Love between Hook and Emma. The underworld test would have worked regardless of Hook because Emma has a heart full of love. Because she is light magic and true love incarnate, and the savior. Her heart was already shown to be a powerful force of love in SEASON 2. The only confirmation of love I see is the door. But still, Hook and Emma never received TLK. Which is still extremely odd.

I don’t care if they didn’t get a TLK because they didn’t need one because the show has explicitly stated it’s true love. Just cause delusional people still refuse to see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It’s stated in canon, it is canon. They’re a unique pairing, a freaking couple like Zades got true loves kiss. Sometimes it’s not a good thing to get the true love kiss. They get things that other couples do not get, that are unique.
Wile Emma and Neal never got any explicit confirmation of true love. No magical item, nothing except the dialogue from Belle about the stupid ring which BTW may indicate true love from Neal, but clearly not from Emma.
