This episode left me longing. Honestly, I prefer this to be the trilogy vs. the Monks. Overall, I enjoyed the concept of the episode but I wanted more. I think RG hinted on what I was lacking the political commentary. Bill being trapped with the Queen would be amazing pop quiz for her to show what all her tutelage with the doctor has brought forth. Sort of a coming of age with Bill especially what happen regarding the monks.
Nordole going to Missy, I had a pit in my stomach yet at the same time there was excitement. Because I been waiting to see Missy out of the vault however I worry that Missy may be up to something.
I also wonder if the oath impacts the doctor physical, like the Raven did to Clara, that Missy being outside of the vault before time hurts him or kills him. I could be wrong. And its just notion.
I am excited to see Missy outside of the vault. I feel like Missy, the Doctor, Bill, and Nordole finally makes a dynamic that gels for me. We have Missy and the Doctors’ opposing views, Bill’s enthusiastic sweet innocence, Nordole’s quirkiness that works for me in ways I simply can’t explain.
Bill and the Doctors’ relationship is just so sweet. I love their interaction.
