I was going to post this in a different thread, but I’ll post it here instead.
Assuming Emma is dead, I’ve always thought that given enough time, a reformed Regina and Hook would make a good pair. They’re both parental figures to Henry, but beyond that they’re on the same page. Hook and Regina are recovering villains who both lost love, sought revenge, found love again, but lost it again. Maybe third time will be a charm. Regina said it herslf: she and Hook are a lot alike. They’re on the same wave length, and they don’t have to hide their dark pasts from one another. Emma helped make Hook a better man, but he always felt he had to hide his dark past from her to be worthy of her. With Regina, he wouldn’t have to do that. He could just be himself around her because she is in the same boat. Both killed their own fathers. They’ve both done unspeakable things, and at least Hook hasn’t killed a member of Regina’s family (that we know about). They could show their true colors around each other and not hide their dark secrets from one another (something Hook did from Emma when she caught him trying to destory his memory of murdering her grandpa). Plus, this interview with Lana and Colin happened this year at one of the cons.
