Actually the fact that it was stable is actually the sign. Cause after last weeks lukewarm premiere with forgettable new characters audience members left in droves but they still wanted to see what happened to Emma.
Whereas this episode was a 0.7 you could see episode 3 drop all the way down to a 0.5 which would be atrocious. Low 0.6 or 0.5 is what I’m expecting.
This embarrassing season by the mid season finale will be in the 0.4 region for sure and God help the spring ratings yikes. They really need to make the cancellation announcement as soon as possible. Then people will forget this joke of a season/reboot ever existed and will never acknowledge it just like people don’t even bring up Scrubs S9.
You really overestimate how much people will talk about this show after it ends. This show is not a phenomenon. It didn’t change Television. People won’t talk about season 7 as much as nobody talks about the previous seasons, they came and went and nobody cares. The only season that is worth as much is season 1.
By the way, as I can recall, Emma’s wedding was one of the least viewed episodes last season so I wasn’t surprised that nobody cared about her final appearance, she is not as popular as people think she is.
