think Alice is still the Guardian, Rumple is trying to find a way for him to be rid of the dagger with giving her the immortality that goes with it.
I agree, I think Alice is the guardian of the dagger which I think was proved this episode. I wonder how the dagger got into her possession? Did she go in a take it without realizing it? Did it just magic its way into her backpack? I do like how the dagger is talking to her, they actually established that in Season 5 with Emma who could hear the dagger.
