As for “superpowers” of Rumple & Emma- this should clear it up. H&K Have said themselves:
Rumple gets glimpses of the future.
Emma is a human lie detector (that’s why she stayed in SB in the 1st place after asking Regina if she loved Henry- see saw something off in her answer), However, when she gets emotional it knocks her superpower out of whack so it doesn’t function properly.
After everything she’s had to go through over the past week up to meeting Cora it’s no wonder she’s probably emotional & disorientated.
