I think we SwanFire shippers should post some kind of “Wish List” and check how much of it actually happens on Sunday. I guess the first item on the list would be:
1)Henry’s dad (Neal) popping up from the back seat of the car when Emma steals it
Well, based on Dylan’s tweet, all the Neverland talk and all the speculation about the Mysterious Guy, I actually thought of how the writers can drive all of us nuts on the last scene of the last episode before Christmas break:
*Emma and her crowd find a way to get to Neverland to look for Baelfire, upon Gold’s request, who hands her a portrait of so said kiddo. After failing to collect any relevant (and true) information from two (very suspicious) lost boys, Emma is approached by Tinkerbell:*
-And who wants to know?
-And who the heck are you?
-I asked first. Plus, you can’t actually expect my boys to give away information like that to a stranger. So I’m going to ask again. Who wants to know?
-Emma. Emma Swan.
-Emma Swan…
(takes the portrait)
– Oh yeah. I know this boy.
– You do? And where is he?
– No idea.
– Say what?
– I said I knew the kid, not where he is.
– But he’s been here.
– Yes, he has… He has indeed.
(Everybody looks astonished)
– But he left.
– Wha– When?
– Take a good look around you, lady. Do you really think we keep track of time here?
(Emma closes her hand in a fist)
-But it’s been a while. Boy was eager to get to a “land with no magic”. All I did was lead him there. And to tell you the truth, this portrait of yours must me horribly outdated by now.
(Cries of joy from all Swanfire shippers. “It’s him! It’s him! The Mysterious guy is grown-up Bae! Bae is Henry’s father!”. Everybody hugs each other. “We knew it! We knew it!”)
*scene continues*
-Sorry to let you and your friends down. Why don’t you all join us for dinner, though?
-No thanks. We have to get going.
Tinkerbell watches Emma and her crowd walk back to the portal. When they disappear, she turns her head to look to the top of a tree. A moment of tension. We only see the tree. But then, slowly… a teen Baelfire shows up and exchange a very meaningful look with the fairy.
Closing song plays. And then it all goes dark.
