He stumbled and complained of shin splints when he was right next to a tree. Someone on another forum said he looked similar to Superman when he gets near kryptonite. If he was made from a tree (I’m TeamPinocchio) maybe he has some connection to them that affected him somehow.
I thought the line about not lying was a definite Pinocchio shoutout though. 😉
