I don’t think the reference to Nepal was just a geographical error. Everything I read was way too specific that lemurs are ONLY found in Madagascar for that. The writers could have just as easily said he enjoyed his time in Madagascar the most because of the lemurs. I agree that the reference to lemurs has to do with the beliefs about their ghost like qualities and the myths about being the spirits of dead ancestors. I am actually wondering of maybe August might be the reincarnated spirit of EQ’s father? Regina said that August seemed familiar to her when she saw him. And the legend of the lemurs says that they are the spirit of ancestors who were mocked while alive or killed in a cruel fashion. Her father was definately killed in a cruel fashion. Not sure if he was mocked while he was alive. It sounds like EQ’s mother wasn’t a really nice lady so maybe she mocked him when he was alive. It did seem like he really loved her though and he knew about the curse and was trying to talk her out of it. Maybe he has come back to try to help Emma break the curse so that he can free Regina from it?
