In Peter Pan wasn’t it important for people to believe in fairies. Fairies have magic. August needs Emma to believe. She has magic and can bring it back. She believes then she can use it. She can use it she can help break the curse and save everyone. This makes for a good case of August = Peter Pan. Pinnochio was never obligated to believe in anything; he needed to be brave, selfless and not lie. He does a final act of selfess bravery to save Geppetto from the whale and for that he became a real boy. Is August that? or is he demonstrating Peter Pan qualities???
