I agree with all that, but there’s something else that hasn’t been mentioned yet.

MM cares for August, obviously, but part of the reasion she was so insistant that August could find redemption was becasue she wanted to know it was possible for herself. Couldn’t that have been a bit of the reasion behind his reaction?

If Neal came to SB on his own, if he could face all his fears to find love, then maybe that meant August could face his and his failures to one day face his father again?
