But there are supposed to be some major hints to his identity in his apartment and I saw nothing that screamed “Bae”
Perhaps nothing that necessarily screamed “Bae,” but the clock collection did remind me a lot of Henry. Perhaps that’s the easy clue they were talking about?
He had three *journals* stacked on his desk, all the same. With the dream catcher in the same shot, just behind, it seems to me he may keep dream journals. From what I remember from past psych classes, this is a way of dealing with incredibly traumatic events.
I like the idea that what Rumple caused lasting damage and not just him being bitter or angry or whatnot. I think that Bae almost has to be damaged deeply if Rumple is ever going to change. There are only a precious few people who he cares about and if the only way he will care about his actions is if they hurt one of those people.
In the episode The Stranger, I always though it odd that AWB kniew to call Gold Papa when he himself called Gepetto Father. Who told him that’s what Bae called Rumple? The Blue Fairy? Possibly, however, I believe that somewhere, either in the orphanage or out in the real world, Bae & AWB met and that’s how AWB knows so much about Rumple.
I don’t like the idea that Bae told AWB about the dagger. I mean, it’s the one thing that can kill his dad and I would hate to see him fall far enough not to care about that. Even though I never really bought that AWB was talking on the phone to Henry, the only possibility I feel comfortable with is that, first off Bae would have to trust AWB impeccably–like best friend like–to tell him and he only told him about the compelling the dark one, not killing him, because it was a last resort for August. I think it would have torn Bae to tell him that much, but I think that’s as far as he could bring himself to go.
Even if AWB is now turned to wood, he certainly could have relayed info about Bae to the Blue Fairy, or Jefferson (yeah, I believe there’s a connection with Jefferson/Bae/AWB) or even Henry during Operation Cobra. AWB made provisions to make sure that someone knew about Bae’s existence & whereabouts should he not be able to notify him himself.
Wasn’t there rumors of a deleted scene with Jefferson and August that were floating around last season and, correct me if i’m wrong, but didn’t it NOT make it onto the DVD/BluRay? Perhaps this was what they were talking about. I mean if Jefferson was the only NOT evil person who remembered, maybe August was forced to ask him to get the message out, just in case August couldn’t get her to believe in time.
