I also highly doubt that Rumpel killed Bae’s mother. The man was too afraid to fight in a war, so I don’t really see him killing his wife. Pre-Dark One Rumpel wasn’t the fighting kind at all.
I’m not sure if the theory that Rumpel killed his wife makes much sense. We’ve already seen that Rumpel isn’t willing to kill those he loves. That’s why he needed Regina to cast the Dark Curse. He didn’t want to kill any of his loved ones. If he did, then he would have killed Belle.
