I think Bae is the “Peter Pan” character. People don’t age in Neverland, and other than that there are no signs of magic in Neverland. It would explain the Blue Fairy saying that the world he was traveling to was a place with no magic. If the world Bae traveled to was Neverland, that solves the issue that Bae would be dead if he stayed within the normal confines of time. It also makes more sense that they’re introducing Captain Hook. Maybe Hook has Bae hidden somewhere and is holding him hostage.
