Look, yes Rumple is in control of Storybrooke but everyone in SB thinks its Regina. She is just a pawn in Gold’s plan whatever it is. Like everyone else he comes across or rather comes to him need something and gives nothing in return unless the benefit favors him whether it be now or later. Everyone is a pawn who come to him for help and are indebted to him. Everyone will blame Regina for all of the bad things that will come about and not realizing that Gold is the real enemy or not. Belle is his weakness Regina holds onto her because she is her nuclear option for fighting Gold. With respect to belle either in FTL or SB it appears Rumple/Gold loses it and in a bad way. she means a lot to him and most likely regrets everything that transpired between the two of them. Belle is the key to Gold/Rumple. She will become more in important in the future than we realize. I call that she’ll be a regular or at least see her often enought in season 2.
I agree with every word you just said! Except for the part about Belle becoming an official series regular. I see her as more of reoccurring character that will have numerous appearances throughout the series, but not an official slot in the main cast. But then again, if her new show doesn’t do do well, then who knows. 😉
The fact that the writers are waiting so long to show us Belle again tells me that she’s going to play a big role in the finale. They’re doing the same thing with August’s identity. Whenever a show makes its audience wait, that means they’re planning something big. The producers have been pretty tight-lipped about Belle’s return which leads me to believe that’ll be really important. But one of the writers did say thatBelle will play a significant role in the season finale.
Ok. Belle could in the future appear as often as lets say Red or Granny. Yeah, if Belle does become a regular she can be over used and then the Rumple mystique will wear off. Rumple is Rumple because of the mystery.
