I think Rumpel has already paid his price. He lost Baelfire and he lost Belle. I think the fact that Belle has been brought back into his life is just pure luck. (Thanks Regina! 😆 ) His price has already been paid. The only difference is that Mr. Gold does not accept the price. He’s already been punished, but he’s fighting back against the punishment. Now, that would be an interesting idea to explore. What happends when you reject the price of magic? What happens when you don’t accept the punishment?
