True, but I suppose Gold could be speaking proverbially. If Cora is the miller’s daughter from the original Rumpelstiltskin fairytale, then Cora thought she got the better of Rumple by keeping baby Regina. However, the fact that Rumple eventually persuaded that said grown child to push her mother through the mirror made Mr. Gold think he’d won the metaphorical battle in the end. Boy, did Cora surprise him, especially if she makes it to SB.
