Yep, the Hook heart-taking was a 1 time enchantment deal. Usually he doesn’t have any magic whatsoever, hence resorting to poison (which is totally a Hook thing to do – doesn’t Tinkerbell have to rescue the Lost Boys because she sees Hook put poison in a cake for them?).
It’ll definitely be interesting to see Emma learn more magic. She looks like she’s enjoying it a bit more (although it’s not super strong yet, though it has its moments).
