I also had the same feeling that David was actually searching for Snow again when he was stumbling around in the forest. It is starting to seem like when the characters get into something similar to their FTL environment where they have a similar “job” to do something kind of “clicks’ inside of them and they start to, at least on some level, revert back to their old habits even if they don’t know why.
