Since we saw a snippet of August conversing with Mother Suprior, the Blue Fairy’s SB counterpart, I think that she may have her memories of FTL in tact. She is, after all, the original magical being, so it’s entirely possible she preserved her own memories from the effects of the curse via a spell. I think she may have sent August to our world with the intent of helping him protect Emma and also of assisting in breaking the curse.
Yup, that’s what I reckon.
Morraine was suggesting that people believe Blue Fairy to be the most powerful in the land, more powerful than Rumple, so I could totally buy her still having her memories in Storybrooke.

If August is actually Pinocchio, he could have been talking to the Blue Fairy about finding his father Gepetto.
They could have discussed both Geppetto and Rumple/Bae.
If August is Pinocchio, and if Mother Superior has retained her memories, then they both know and remember Geppetto. If August wants to talk about his dad, and how rough it is to be around him again but unable to speak to him, which would be a crappy situation, she’s the only person in town he can go to about it to speak in complete confidence.
And I also think they were working together with this plan to deceive Mr Gold, or rather, August was following orders from her. When he was confronting Mr Gold, he wasn’t relishing the experience at all, so I think the only reason he was doing it was because Mother Superior gave him the task.
