That’s a good point! I’d just like to point out for any of you who read James Patterson: in his new series Witch and Wizard, there’s an alternate plane Shadowlands, where time is completely subjective, just as crual_fortuna said. For example, Whit and Whitsey (the main characters) were in Shadowlands for what seemed like maybe an hour, but when they got back to the real world, months had passed. Maybe the worlds behind the doors work like this?
