The article establishes is that Dr. Whale’s fairy-tale counterpart won’t be revealed this season, and that the Big Bad Wolf will be revealed in episode 15. I think this means that even though we’ll see the Big Bad Wolf in fairy-tale land in episode 15, viewers still won’t find out who he is in Storybrooke until next season. That sill leaves open the very real possibility that Dr. Whale is the Big Bad Wolf, and viewers will discover it later.
The summary for episode 15, Red-Handed: Emma hires Ruby to help her, and gives the woman a chance to determine what she's good at. Meanwhile, Emma questions David about his possible involvement in Kathryn's disappearance, while in the fairytale world, Red Riding Hood and her fellow villagers are trapped in their village by a bloodthirsty wolf.
Since Dr. Whale’s character appears in episode 15, I think his involvement with Ruby will become more evident. One thing we already know from previous episodes about Dr. Whale is that he was eying Ruby lustfully almost like a predator while he was on a date with Mary Margaret. Also, Dr. Whale lied to Mary Margaret about the results of David’s brain wave activity when she saw David move. Finally, Dr. Whale reported to Regina when David began to stir, suggesting the doctor is also a villain in fairy-tale world.
