I’d try take it with a grain of salt…. sometimes people over react to innocent things on account of past experiences they’ve had & sometimes it’s hard to tell how old someone is by their posts alone- is there even an age restriction to join these forums?
I guess the nature of these things is unless there is an age restriction, you are going to get over reactions, from younger &/or passionate fans (no disrespect intended to anyone here- I’m generalising).
I see both points of view here, at the end of the day I personally didn’t find your thread topic offensive, but could see how a younger reader may well construe it as an attack on their fav character- it just cant be helped given people with say 50 yrs age difference (again generalising), can be posting on the same thread- they have vastly different life experiences, usually very different understandings & view points, so things can get lost in translation sometimes.
About 6 pages in or so, people just start talking about the subject matter rather than why the thread was started- when I 1st posted I hadn’t read from the beginning, so had no idea about all the drama lol.
It is fun reading everyone’s different take on the Hook/Emma, Neal/Emma, Neal/Rumple, Rumple/Henry relationships & why, once the subject was picked up again- so I thank you for starting the thread, despite it going off topic & doing loops for a few pages, it has otherwise been an interesting thread 🙂
