The Wolfman and Frankenstein have appeared together in various movies. They are enemies. Perhaps Dr. Whale felt drawn to her because of that connection.
I also think it’s a possibility that werewolves may have originated in Dr. Whale’s world and migrated to FTL. Maybe his world is Transylvania, where we’ll see Dracula, who was shown in may horror movies controlling the Frankenstein monster. Dracula is after all, considered the Prince of Darkness.
