I think that’s a very astute post. During the wedding dress fitting, Regina just looked … stunned. And then you could see her almost … snap … into the EQ we know.
You could see glimpses of it earlier. She’s been taught for so long that you do not fight Cora. By the time of the fitting, she’s stunned and holding it tightly in check, because she absolutely cannot do anything about it. Nothing at all.
(Note: I’ve been in positions like this, mainly with work. “Yes, sir, I’ll take a pay cut despite the fact you just made my job a lot harder! Yes, sir, I should be grateful!” And then you have to sit there for the rest of the day and NOT let any of it show … 👿 )
And then Snow gives her an outlet for it.
I think we’ll see Regina plotting and planning and learning enough to kill/defeat her mother. I don’t believe for an instant that she’s abandoned that line of revenge. But at that moment … there’s nothing.
Except Snow. And think of how bitter, how very, very bitter, it must have been to see that little girl get her own happily ever after … after all.
