I find Granny’s FTL name really clever. She is referred to as the Widow Lupus by the villagers. Lupus is Latin for wolf! Given that Granny was marked by a werewolf and transformed into one, as well as married to a werewolf, the name makes sense. It is interesting that her scars carried over from FTL to SB (just as Prince Charming’s chin scar carried over). What wasn’t as clear was how in FTL, Granny had overcome transforming into a werewolf but maintained her keen sense of smell. How did she manage to prevent transforming during wolf’s time? I was intrigued that Granny Lupus hired a wizard to make a magical red cape that prevents Red Riding Hood (whose referred to as Eliza in SB by Granny) from turning during the wolf’s time. I really want to see more of that back story in season 2.
