What if Hook teams up with Regina and makes a deal with her? He’ll help her deal with Cora if she turns against Rumplestiltskin. Hook may be able to take hearts but Rumple is still more powerful than him with magic. Having Regina on his side will help even the odds for Hook.
Also, going back to the likelihood of Belle interacting with Cora now that Rumple said she’d never meet her, what if Cora takes Belle’s heart and uses her as a puppet in order to throw Rumple off his game. Just imagine Belle going full on trying to seduce Rumple.
