I can buy the idea that Blue is involved. As I’ve said in my own reviews, I believe there is far more to her than meets the eye. That, though, begs the question of how she could have passed the information along. Remember, she was under the curse herself when all this was happening. I don’t personally buy the idea that she kept her memories. Even Rumpel had to program a trigger into the curse to get his returned before it was broken.

Still, perhaps there’s a simpler answer. We can deduce that even though August “left” Emma, he stayed on mission. He didn’t start reverting to wood until the course of events in season 1, according to his account. That’s what brought him back, remember?

So if we have August still doing what he is supposed to be doing, he’s seeing Emma seriously involved with someone in a manner that could jeopardize her role as savior. If it were me, I’d be researching the heck out of this Neal guy. Somehow he managed to work out the connection.

But how???

Same question can be asked regarding August’s knowledge about the dagger. It seems reasonable now that he did not get it from Neal. I think this is going to all tie into the book. How did he get the book? Who wrote it, if he didn’t? How did he know everything in it if he did? (after all, there’s an awful lot of detail for such a young boy as when he left) While I like Gypsy’s theory on the book, I will have to think about that a bit before I’m willing to buy in. Boy, though… it does have an appeal…

Hmm… did I say “simpler” at this beginning of this???
