Yeah, sometimes the heroes’ reactions to Rumpel and Regina are a little inconsistent. Sometimes, they’re afraid of them, and then sometimes they’re asking them for help. I guess it all depends on the situation. But for the most part, I think the writers are teaming the Charming family up with Rumpel and Regina for pure plot purposes. Cora is coming and God only knows what kind of agenda has for Storybrooke. So, the Charmings are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils. They rather ally themselves with the Devil they know, rather than the Devil they don’t.
