You’ve got me thinking, Dorothy, of one of those out-on-a-limb thoughts: in a way, those false memories were a blessing! Imagining what it would be like to jump from FTL to SB–from a land of horse -drawn carriages and kings and magic to cars, police, drugs, tv, airplanes,–as Pinn did, with no preparation and no sponsor to guide you, how horrifying! At least the false memories gave people knowledge and comfort with the modern world. Yes, I ‘m afraid that unless Bae and Rumple had some time to observe and learn before jumping in to SB, you’re right, they’d be locked up or dead.
