I was driving home from work and thinking the same thing Lissy…
It makes sense that Emma and Bae could have met in the real world. Some of my thoughts were….
Bae was 14 when he went through the vortex … add 28 years and he would currently be about ….. 42years
That would make him about 32 years old when he would have met Emma and she got PG with Henry.
Emma had admitted he had been an older man… I think he was married when they met. (Wasn’t he a fireman)
Not sure how she got put into juvie… could have been a separate unrelated incident.
Anyways… in the pilot they indicated that RUMPLE could “see” the future…. maybe he had images of Emma and Bae together… he then kept tabs on Emma when he got to the real world using magic he had per-arranged in FTL. (no magic in SB) He may or not have realized that Henry was his grandson… he may just think that Emma is the key to finding Bae.
I some how do not think GOLD knew Henry was his grandson he probably just thought Henry was Emma’s child, but not necessarily Bae’s. He would have turned him over to Regina….so later he could get Emma to come to SB. He probably saw as a way to break the curse .
GOLD is a planner, a strategist and manipulator; he thinks far ahead of everyone else.
I however think if Gold knew for sure Henry was his grandson NO WAY would he let Regina any where near Henry. He would have found another way.
Anyway this is my current theory and it is evolving… I think if it comes to pass it will be next year when we see Bae.
