If she best works when she does not put herself out there with the fans, that is how she works best. She is making sure she can do her job to the best of her abilities.
This! Perhaps it’s just that when she’s working, she feels that she needs to stay focused and in the zone of what she’s shooting in order to give 100%, and the distraction of mingling with fans would throw her off her game. Considering she’s happy to meet with fans when she’s not shooting, that seems like a perfectly acceptable explanation IMO. And wanting to do her job properly isn’t something she should be judged negatively for.
