I think the main factor in making the new magic work is that you have to have true love in your life. Emma has that with Henry, Snow has Charming, and Rumpel has Belle and Bae. Regina is the only one who will probably not be able to use it. All the people she loved are dead. I think this new magic won’t require much skill or effort because the main ingredient is love.
