Yeah, from the pictures I wondered if the Mad Hatter and August were working together some how. I posted this on another thread about Emma being a woman of magic but I think August added pictures to the book that Emma will need in order to start believing but I’m not exactly sure how August would have known which pages he would have had to have added to the book. If he was aware of Jefferson and of what he wanted to accomplish he may have made a reasonable guess that Jefferson would have made an attempt to get Emma to help him (or he may have even been the one to suggest it). If that was the case then it would make sense that adding pages about the Mad Hatter and Grace/Paige to the book so that Emma would recognize them would be a good idea. Even though I keep going back to the idea of August being either Pinocchio or Peter Pan/a lost boy, I still have this nagging idea that he might somehow be Bae. If he was Bae, the scene at the end with Gold/Regina might almost make sense if August and Gold had been working together somehow but didn’t expect Emma and MM to be able to escape the Mad Hatter quite so quickly. Regina could have expected MM to be the only one missing from the arraignment – while Gold would have been expecting BOTH MM and Emma to be missing, or something.
