Welcome to the forums, Ms. Pixie. 😀 Glad to have you here! And don’t worry, your English is beautiful. 😀

I agre with you that his human side tends to be “cherished” more than his evil side by his fans. But I think a lot of his fans (me included) do that because we want to see the good in him. We want to see him be redeemed because he NEEDS to be redeemed. You’re right, he’s done a lot of terribly evil things. But that is why I feel that he needs to prove himself and turn his life around in order to begin his redemption arc. So yes, as fans we do tend to only look at his human side. But it’s only because we want to see a glimmer of hope in him. and so far that glimmer has been Baelfire and Belle. The Blue Fairy said it best, Baelfire is that last glimmer of goodness in his heart. And that was proven to be true in last week’s episode.

And I also think that Mr. Gold was on the track of turning his life around in last week’s episode “The Return.” When he gave August the knife, he did as a sign that he was finally ready to give up his power and live a quiet life with his son. But when Mr. Gold figured out that August wasn’t his son, he reverted back to his old ways out of anger.

It’s only been one season and judging by the ratings, it will be one of many. So, we still have a lot of story to tell with his character. 😉
