In the end, Mr. Gold’s love for Baelfire and Belle will indirectly bring him over to the good side. And I know that sounds kind of selfish and self-serving (ok, it is), but most of the time, it takes the love of a spouse or family member to bring people over the side of good and righteousness. Sometimes only our loved ones can provide us with the proper motivation to do what’s right. It takes love to open someone’s eyes to the truth.

You said it, Midnight Dreary! If that’s what it takes, then that’s what it takes. Our loved ones help us be bigger and better than we would be or could be on our own. That’s a form of Magic in-and-of itself. 😀
