I agree. I don’t think gaining back his magical powers is what Rumpel is after. He gave his dagger to August for a reason. He created the curse to take him to a land without magic for a reason. He wants to finally be rid of his dark powers so that he can be reunited with his son. I think he’s done with magic…for now.
