Haha, I’m sure that’s a reputation he wouldn’t have minded cultivating, but I don’t think it’s the truth. I do think we have some kind of inkling that he can hear when people call on him. I don’t think he’s forced to answer, but he probably did for his own reasons if he thought it would be worth his time. So probably, it’s less that bad things would happen, and more that people knew he would be able to hear them call him, and it became a “Don’t call his name unless you really want to follow through with that…” sort of situation.
