Well, if we assume that Regina starts impoverishing George after Belle arrives at the Dark Castle (and she couldn’t have started before, because she was Wilma until the point that Rumple mentions his promising maid to her), and Belle doesn’t stay at the castle for more than about 3 months (she says she’s had a couple months to look around in Skin Deep on the day that she’s sent to town), it’s tricky to squeeze in everything. It’s -possible- but tricky. Also, there is a LOT that has to happen between the ball and the wedding then. Like virtually EVERYTHING that happens between Snow and Charming before their wedding. And a war.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, just that it seems unlikely. I do think I should move the ball closer to when James dies, though, since it seems that Rumple would’ve acted quickly on info on the godmother’s location.
(and of course this is all assuming that it’s the same godmother, maid, etc, but there’s little reason to believe that they would mislead us so much.)
