I agree – I really think Bae ended up in our world. For now. 😉
I mean, it was alluded to (with the Looking Glass, and Jefferson’s hat, etc.) that there were multiple ways of travelling to-and-from different worlds; as long as the world you left and the world you arrived in both had magic. Rumple was probably aware of those methods…I’m almost certain he knew people who could get to Wonderland and Neverland…But then how would the writers explain why he couldn’t reach his son? He could visit those worlds but he didn’t try? Or he tried looking in Wonderland, that “specific annoying little world”, but missed Bae? That he cast the curse by mistake and brought Bae over with everyone else in FTL? Or maybe Bae learned how to travel between worlds independently of the curse? All interesting possibilities…but to me it’s one too many twists. I really think Bae ended up in the land without magic. And most importantly we have to remember – Bae doesn’t like magic. Even simple magic to heal a scraped knee.
BUT that doesn’t mean boring old non-magical Bae can’t still have an amazing story. 😀 Bae is still a “lost boy” after all, which might hint at his role in the future. We still know he’s brave, to a fault. That he thinks he can fight. I can’t wait to see where they take his character!
And yes, I am aware that this thread is not about Bae, but the Mystery Man. My two cents: I wouldn’t mind if Michael Raymond-James plays a major character like Baelfire, because he’s a powerhouse actor and all the emotional scenes would be amazing.
