Hmmmm. Interesting. I guess since Neal Cassady was a REAL person, I’m holding out that it’s a very large clue to the characterization of the mystery man instead.
Also, in On the Road, the highly stylized version of Cassady Kerouac writes, Dean Morarity, never does find his father. The final lines of the novel, “I think of Dean Morarity, I even think of Old Dean Morarity, the father we never found…” Bad news for Rumple and Bae? Will we have to wait a long time for Papa and son to be reunited?
