Bee, all that time stalking and they release the info. That name makes me feel like he should be a member of the Partridge Family. (Come on, I can’t be the only one who thought this.)
lol, well at least I knew when he is working on OUaT, and I knew that he was working on the show around the time they were filming episode 6 before we got official confirmation. So at least all of stalking wasn’t for nothing.
Maybe it’s a little to easy. I don’t know. They never reveal stuff like this, but maybe they’re not worried about the internet public since the majority of viewers aren’t in the fandom.
Yes, I always see fans write that, and while it does seem a little too easy, I doubt people who don’t pay attention to the Internet really care if the cast list is revealed, and then they reveal Mysterious Man’s name in a summary later on. They probably still don’t even know that the identity of Henry’s father is going to be revealed this episode.
Also, since Neal Cassady is an obvious alias, there’s still people on the Internet guessing he’s going to be Jack or someone other than Bae, so I guess for those that really hate the idea of Mysterious Man being Bae, they’re still sticking to their guns.
MR-J does not look like a Neal. But him and August both having literary names confirms, in my mind, that they know each other. My theory is that they met in Phuket. I can’t see Henry’s father knowing about the baby and setting up the adoption. I just can’t imagine it.
True, but I could definitely see why he chose the name Neal Cassady since Cassady was so influential to so many people. Maybe he saw himself as sort of a kindred spirit to those Beat poets, and it helped romanticize the committing crime so that he wouldn’t feel as guilty about doing so since he probably didn’t have a whole lot of choice anyway. From the synopsis and seeing him in present day, I don’t think he enjoyed his life of crime at all, although I could be wrong, and I think that maybe he needed to justify it in some way to himself.
If he did travel around as much as the real Cassady, there’s a good chance that he and August met up in Phuket. He did have that air mail envelope in his apartment, but I wasn’t sure if that was for him because of work or for him personally.
I don’t think he knows about Henry at all. I still believe that Henry was brought to Storybrooke because of the Curse doing so not because of Bae because there’s no way he would hand over anyone to his dad knowing how his dad changed. I also don’t think that Bae got Emma pregnant on purpose in order to break the Curse. It’s just a really disturbing idea, imo, and while Bae maybe a conman, I don’t think he’s some kind of mastermind that would do something like that to Emma and his child.
However, maybe August set up the adoption. He’d be around 24 or 25 at the time and maybe he thought he should check up on Emma because he abandoned his mission to take care of baby Emma and make sure she broke the curse. He could be feeling guilty and through his tracking found out she was pregnant and when she gave the baby up, somehow made it so baby Henry ended up in Storybrooke. That way it would be a link to where she was supposed to return in the future and break the curse. Maybe he felt that was enough and went out of her life until he returned. He could have felt that he was doing enough to ease his guilty conscience.
I think August had enough to be feel guilty about with abandoning Emma instead of doing what Gepetto and The Blue Fairy wanted him to do, not that I blame him at least at that point in his life, and for not seeking Emma sooner to help her out when he was older and stable enough to have reached out to her. So I don’t think he was involved with Henry’s adoption either.
Maybe his teenage bride is Loretta – they separated or something before he meets Emma. He then tries to marry Emma and it comes out he’s still married to Loretta – can’t see Emma taking that well.
lol, I already looked up her picture back when the cast list was released, and figured that she was going to be a social worker or something like that. She might be the oldest looking teenage bride if that’s who Loretta really is. 😆
From the cast list and the summary, it seems like robbing some type of business, I’m guessing gas station/convenience store, is what leads to Emma going to jail. Did Neal just take off when the cops arrived leaving Emma to hold the bag? Or was it going to be one last crime thing before they start their new lives, but he never showed up so she did it alone but it didn’t work out because it needed to be a two person job type of thing? Did he get caught before her someplace and rat her out to get a lighter sentence?
Or maybe as Lil’Red suggested before he ratted her out because that was the only way he thought he could help her stop committing crime? Actually, he would have been right if he had believed that, but I could see why Emma would hate him for betraying her like that. I think I like this theory the best because while Bae would still be a conman/criminal guy, who probably shouldn’t have turned in his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend at that point in time, it makes him look like a jerk but not too much of a jerk. Plus, I don’t think it’s as cliche as him already being married or him running out when they were about to be caught to let Emma take the blame, and in a way, he would be like his dad in that they started out having good intentions about doing something to help out someone they loved but it backfires and everyone’s miserable afterwards.
