I agree that Regina no longer being able to use her magic will be a great way to further develop her character. Like Rumple, magic has been a “crutch” for her, and she will have major issues trying to get what she wants without it. She may have no choice but to try redeeming herself again. She was only able to have her way without magic during the curse before because she had full control over the town with everyone’s memories replaced. What can Regina possibly do without magic at her aid? The flashback portion of this episode showed how much she struggles without it.
