What Cora was trying to get Snow to do was stop a death before it happened, not bring someone back from the dead. Daniel was already dead, not dying when Regina was trying to bring him back, and Cora killed him so quickly that she wouldn’t have had time to use the candle anyway.
Okay, I can see the loop-hole now, though it is very eye-of-the-needle small. 🙂
